That is all.
Well my lovelies it really has been a while! Lots of things have happened, lots of cakes made, lots of new ideas developing into fruition.
On a minus, my bloody email is not working and has been down for a month now, the provider needs to be shot as they are doing sod all about it, so I am looking at moving my domain over… when I figure out how the devil to do that!
Today, after the snow last night I am in a rather bright and cheery mood, it feels like winter and, although a summer baby, I do love the snow and the sense of ‘freshness’ it gives, I have clothes drying on radiators and a nice open fire to gaze at drift off in deep thought to.
I had a little sad news recently with regard to my family but we won’t dwell on it, it’s not the way we do things, I’ve managed about ten seconds to quietly reflect, there is just no time to worry so you dust down and battle on. My house is rarely quiet anymore and when you work full time, when I say full time I mean roughly a 60hour week, plus being a mum and attempt at being a wife, it’s not easy. I crave time alone to unwind or just to hear myself think… which I never get, dear lord, I am one stone’s throw from the asylum. I don’t even know why I said that, I just think I need to type it, in the hope that typing it may keep me sane enough to find the time to have a break. In saying that I’ve just booked a little 4 night break in South Wales for the summer, and we are lucky enough to get the odd weekend away in-between thanks to my husband’s book signing events. There is one coming up soon which should be fun :)
We recently had two new additions to the family, after our rabbit Georgie sadly passed away, one of Adam’s friends needed a home for two little lops, so of course, they came to live with us, you know me, I can’t be without some little creature. We have named them Schizz and Ditzy on account one is definitely coming to the asylum with me and the other is a right dopy little thing.
On the events side of thing, we recently went to a burlesque night, it was fabulous, organised by Embraced Showcase. It was fabulous, four ladies with 3 acts and the most hilarious compere. We can’t wait for the next night it was such a giggle. The compere however did spot me sat hid up the corner at the front of the stage and invited me up in front of everyone to show off my ‘rack’ the best in building apparently. I was in shock, my husband assures me everyone clapped and cheered when I went on stage, I have no clue I was like a bunny in headlights, but despite that, it was funny and he was very proud of me, the Mae Wests have a whole new fan club of their own!
On the book front, I still have two recipe books to compile but goodness, where is the time to do it?! On a plus point after complaints to my husband that all Crowded Quarantine does is stories on the darker side of life, I want raunch… a bit of steam and something to get the pulse rate up… so we are going to have an anthology open for submissions with a bit of passion, romance or just general filth. Naughty yes?! I do hope so.
Anyway, must go, I have a brain to model now the cake has come out the oven, do check back on my facebook page recently created for Delicious Inspiration, there will be little recipe anecdotes to help you along… but for now it’s time to get back in the kitchen. I can’t hear myself think to type right now the house just pure noise :o/
